Aw, shucks. Writing them together was a challenge as I wanted to convey tension and longing, but without getting heavy-handed. And because Shosanna and Fredrick began and ended at the theater, I wanted them to have one last private moment there before all hell broke loose.
I have such an adoration for them and their (misunderstood) relationship (and especially poor Fredrick) that I felt compelled enough to throw my hat in the ring and do them some justice. I enjoyed it so much that I'm going to tackle them in an AU setting next.
Don't feel crazy, as it's fellow fans of Shosanna/Fredrick that further inspire me to write about them. We may be a small group, but it makes S/F all the more special, I think.
If there was a way to hug my brain for giving me such lines, I would, as that was what lead me to write King For A Day in the first place.
