Oh, don't mind me.

I always, always, always want to hug him, even though it's most likely not necessary. He knew the score from the get-go and all that he'd personally lose, piled on top of the extremely difficult decision that had to be made. Knowing all of this, he still went ahead with it. Somber, stoic, and at peace with what had to be done.

It still puts an ache in my heart. I can't think of a fictional character I seriously adore more than Adrian Veidt.

Meanwhile, I encourage anyone willing to venture out there to read the absolutely stunning post-Karnak fic Among The Trees, written by [livejournal.com profile] glasspyramids and [livejournal.com profile] muzivitch. It's Dan/Adrian, but it's not some odd fetishization of gay men that I find most slash to be; it's as mature and lovely and realistic as you can get in any fandom.

After you finish that, read the epilogue In The Middle written from Adrian's p.o.v. by [livejournal.com profile] eugenetapdance.

Hi, I'm sorry to intrude. I was just admiring [livejournal.com profile] germanpanther's Watchmen icons. She said you made them, they're awesome!
I was wondering if you might be able to please tell me where you found the promo for the 'did it for the lulz' one, I've never seen it before.

Oh, you're not intruding at all! That particular picture came from a scan from an issue of Time magazine. I'm at work right now, but when I get home later tonight I can post it here for you.
I also used the image here:

Oh, absolutely! The graphic novel is one of the finest pieces of fiction I've read in years (I generally stick to non-fiction, though I'm working on that) and the film (especially the director's cut) far exceeded my expectations.
