Brad's journey as Hazel Motes was difficult to watch, and even though he was hardly likable, practically everyone he comes in contact with grows attached to him. Interesting choice of subject matter for Huston to direct, as he was very much an atheist.
I live in Ohio, but not up in the North nor very South, either. It's a few hours drive to get to Kentucky, so it amazes me all of the crazy religious folk we get around here. I still see my fair share of Confederate flags around here, and it merely compels me to want to ask them why they don't just fuck off to the South.

I'm rambling now, but Brad Dourif and Dick Cavett are my fantasy men. When it all comes down to it, I love 'em delicate, quirky, and intellectual.
