I've noticed with most of my creative endeavors, I prefer to take a simplistic route and try to let it speak for itself without getting bogged down in excess detail or getting convoluted.

That line is particularly affecting. It feels like the vocalization of everything about Fredrick and Shosanna, the sort of thing Fredrick can't say within the reality of the film.

I always have to keep a certain level of restraint in mind when writing Shosanna and Fredrick because while he is more open, I can't let him overly soppy and emotional and Shosanna, though more guarded, is still capable of feeling overwhelming emotions; so I have to make certain that how they feel for each other and function in their lives is clear enough without getting out of character.

I feel extremely comfortable with writing them, but I also make sure to keep myself on my toes, as I want them and their relationship to be as honest as possible.

I've also noticed how much hands feature in this one.
