At least I'm one step ahead of most. Learning Spanish would be more useful as an American, though. When I have the time (in between work, writing, and procrastination), I'll need to work on my French. At least I can sit on my high horse and notice translation errors in subtitles.

It is! That'll be something else I'll have to do when finding time for French, as I have enough information to get started. The Ottoman Empire? That's quite interesting. I confess to not knowing enough about it, but wikipedia is certainly cluing me in.

Yes! I'm currently toiling away on it. Then much editing shall commence. I'd like to see Water for Elephants, too. I'm still a bit annoyed with Christoph for dropping A Dangerous Method for it. Not that I wanted to see him as Freud, but his treatment of David Cronenberg was shitty. I'm definitely curious to see how Reese does opposite them both.
