Meeting People Is Easy
I like to understand what I'm shown.

loves: Léa Seydoux. Daniel Brühl. Adam Driver. Daisy Ridley. Tom Waits. David Lynch. Foreign film. Obscure cinema. Twin Peaks. Tragic soldiers. French women. Outer space romantic tragedies. Writing. Creating. Seeking fulfillment.

A recent transplant from livejournal, I want to use this space to share the creations I've made (and will make), such as fic and graphics. Such posts will not be locked, but my more personal posts will be.

I certainly don't mind meeting new people, which is why I'm here. So if the above sounds agreeable and we have something in common, leave a comment and let's see where this goes.

GOOD. THEY WILL ENJOY YOUR TASTY BRAINMEATS.

If I had money, I'd fund that remake. I'd fund it so hard.

I loved that tribute so much! Did you ever see this tribute?

AND IF I HAD MONEY, I'D SO PITCH IN!
I'm sure they would all be honoured and wouldn't oppose...

Oh My Gosh, I haven't ever seen that before! Thanks for sharing!
What a lovely collection of wonderful clips!
RIP John Hughes, you were genius <3

LOL all the dancing near the ending of the song.

Ferris has a Simple Minds poster on his wall! Nice - never noticed that! Hahaha.

Of course they would be! And our insanity brilliance will astound them into making it.

You're welcome! It's such a wonderful tribute, featuring some of my favorite work of (I'm especially fond of Some Kind of Wonderful).

RIP John Hughes, you were genius <3
He had such a special gift and his films are timeless.

Whenever I'm watching an '80s teen movie, I always keep an eye out for the posters in the characters' bedrooms.

Hahaha, heck yes! Our BRILLIANCE. >;)

I actually haven't seen Some Kind of Wonderful! I REALLY want to.

Haha, you and your eye for detail, I love it.

Or staggering genius, if you prefer.

Some Kind of Wonderful is my favorite John Hughes film! I'm in love with Eric Stoltz, and that film is a good reason why. It's sort of like Pretty in Pink, but with reversed genders and all the names are references to the Rolling Stones. Watts is also my favorite of Hughes' girls as she's an absolute bad-ass. And it has this:

Haha, you and your eye for detail, I love it.
If I went blind, that'd be the end of me.

HAHAHAHA, oh dear GOD, that icon!
So I'm not the only one who laughs at Marcel?

Well, I love Pretty In Pink! I really must see this movie. I almost bought it once, actually! I read the back of the DVD and I was like, "I can SO tell I would love this!" but, I didn't have enough cash on me. Thanks for the clip, it just makes me more anxious to see this!

Haha! What a badass! Huge contrast from St. Elmo's Fire Mary Stuart Masterson.

If I went blind, that'd be the end of me.
Hah! Please don't go blind! ♥
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: I get fascination[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on April 1st, 2010 04:16 am (UTC)
[livejournal.com profile] piecesofalice made it after I remarked that Quentin thinks that every time he's onscreen. The way he constantly undermined Shosanna annoyed me, even if he finally came through for her in the end (and he's a bad actor).

IT'S WONDERFUL AND YOU WILL LOVE IT.

I loved pretty much every character, including Lea Thompson's, whom Stoltz's is initially in love with (or so he thinks).

I was about four years old when it came out, and I remember the commercials for it featuring this great overhead shot of Watts drumming:

Hah! Please don't go blind! ♥
I'll be extra careful ♥

"(and he's a bad actor)"
HAHAHA.

I REALLY MUST SEE IT IF IT TRULY IS SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL!

That's so cute that you remember that! Haha.
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: How do we see clear?[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on April 3rd, 2010 02:10 pm (UTC)
I've fallen in love with extremely minor characters before, but to quote [livejournal.com profile] piecesofalice, there are no small parts, only small actors, and he's a terribly small actor. In some interview, he claimed that Marcel was "seeking purity in a world that was corrupt". LOL MARCEL WHATEVER. There's this long running joke between [livejournal.com profile] piecesofalice and I that Fassbender lives in the basement of Daniel's condo and we recently joked that sometimes, Jacky Ido comes over to visit him. Fassbender refers to him as Marcel and laments about how no one likes him.

PUNS! YES, YOU SHOULD.

My brain is a bit of a sponge ♥
[identity profile] nickytheapache.livejournal.com on April 5th, 2010 06:33 am (UTC)
LOL MARCEL WHATEVER.
That made me laugh way too hard.

HAHA, I hope that your inside joke is true. Perhaps it is...

YES PUNS!♥ Cheesy puns are the best...
