GOOD. Harry and Tonto was so lovely that I had a whole lot of awkward, scrunch-faced crying at the end. Art Carney won the Oscar that year for his performance, over Nicholson and Pacino.

The '70s is my favorite decade for film, so hopefully I can work my way through lots of films from that time.

This is why you're awesome ;)
Btw, Happy New Year!
My new year's resolution is: to find Mel & Dan & convince them to hook up collaborate on a film together.
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: Are those dreams or are those prayers?[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on January 12th, 2011 11:09 pm (UTC)
I think this post is a place to cram in all of the '70s films I've been watching. ♥

OMG OMG MAKE IT HAPPEN.

ALSO, DID YOU HEAR? Mel was talking in a recent interview about how she recorded her album with the help of Damien Rice, who she was in love with, but he broke her heart. And, apparently she's dating a ~technician and she'd like to have a family.

I suspect this technician is actually Dan. And that RPF is coming to life.

Damien Rice? I knew that name rang a bell!
Pairs figure skaters have used "The Blower's Daughter" in competition or exhibition, I forget.

Anyway!
That's an interesting fact. I didn't know she was in love with him.
And yes, this technician she's referring to is really Mel code for "hot German boy." Definitely.

In any case, I'll have to double my efforts to stalk find either one of them & convince them of this collaboration; or at least write them fan mail & include the manip I made for you. For insurance purposes, y'know.

(My creeper level just rose by 50%)

He dates, like, every actress ever. I'm glad Mel's past that now. She doesn't need to date men who've dated Renee Zellweger.

IT DEFINITELY IS. I REFUSE TO READ ABOUT "YOU'RE SO FRENCH/YOU'RE SO GERMAN" AND ALL ABOUT THEIR CAPRI SHENANIGANS AND NOT BELIEVE THAT THERE WASN'T ANY FRANCO/GERMAN RELATIONS GOING ON. Because I'm perfectly sane and not a crackpot, that's why.

I think your efforts would pay off! If you were truly a creeper, you'd send them letters made out of magazine cut-outs that read, "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN CAPRI."
But they'd probably just blame that on Fassbender being a dick.

Haha, yes.
Damn Fassy and his meddling ways! I still remember all them wierd faces he had in those Capri festival pics. We are so onto him!

Btw, ♥♥♥ the new layout :)
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: [film: IB] FASSY YOUR BASEMENT SUCKS[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on January 22nd, 2011 01:12 am (UTC)
He's tired of being forced into the basement. Their loud sex in Capri was also a nuisance for him. And now he just sits in the basement dressed as Magneto. It's hard being Michael Fassbender, it really is.

Thank you! I really needed to brighten this place up a bit.
