Now here's the part of my post where I do some pimping:

Graphic #8 was made for my dear

notexotic and her original creative work, Mischief Night. A love-letter to the horror genre, it's a project that's personal, ongoing, and ambitious, which requires certain measures. For this, she has created a dreamwidth account solely dedicated to it. Along with that, she put together a soundtrack for it, He Knew My Name: a horror soundtrack. I created the front and back covers for it, and so I feel a need to promote it.

I need something good from Daniel after Die kommenden Tage made me ugly-cry. Of course, he does have Rush with Ron Howard and Chris Hemsworth starting next year, too (though based on what happened to Niki Lauda, it won't be entirely pleasant). I'm still waiting on Intruders to get a wider release, as I've heard good things about it from people who saw it at TIFF. Also, Daniel as a hot priest is always good.

Die kommenden Tage - dear me, wasn't that just depressing? Even though it was fantastic seeing Daniel and August in modern clothes (hehe - easier to manipulate modern day spy scenarios for my quad).

Fingers-crossed for Intruders, definitely sounds promising :)

It was, and terribly so. It was hard to feel for the main character since she kept doing stupid things and was just so bland when the rest of the cast was so much more dynamic. I was annoyed with her throughout the whole film. Daniel aside, I do want August and Johanna to work together again as they were fantastic. She was the major reason he signed onto the film, which is adorable.

Yes! Carice van Houten is one of my favorite actresses, so I definitely want to see her performance, too (though it figures Clive gets to be married to her and Daniel plays the priest).

I didn't know that! Very cool to hear and now I want that to happen as well.

For Daniel, I would love to see him work with Julia Jentsch again - I thought they were wonderful in The Edukators.

It was in a German interview I had stumbled upon a while ago, which a fan had translated. August really admires her as an actress and he loved working with her. Even though Konstantin was supposed to have wanted Laura the entire time, I thought August had the most amazing chemistry with Johanna.

Julia is such an amazing actress! Her, Johanna, and Nina Hoss are my favorite German actresses.

Did you ever hear anything about how Hollywood was attempting to remake The Edukators? It never really got off the ground as it still seems to be stuck at the pre-production stage (and this has been for over a year now). According to Daniel, the only other actor who could play his part is Jake Gyllenhaal, which makes me want to see them work together in something.

I hate how they keep on remaking foreign films (also tv shows). It doesn't make sense, especially since The Edukators wasn't that old. To be honest, I'm so-so with Jake G. - he is okay in my books but not someone I will go see the movie for (if that makes sense).

As do I. There have been times when I've gone to see foreign films in the theater and there have been signs by the registers letting people know that the films have subtitles. It seems that as long as a film elsewhere has been successful, Hollywood will remake it; I've seen too many of the Asian films I love getting that treatment over the years.

For me, it depends on the role with Jake. He's chosen some very dynamic roles wheres he's really impressed me, and others, not so much.
