My neighbors' house caught on fire this afternoon and I'm assuming it was due to their wood-burning stove because the smoke smelled heavily like firewood. The police preferred everyone within the vicinity to wait outside whilst the firemen took care of the situation. On the plus side, their house wasn't horrendously damaged (at least on the outside) and as I came outside to wait (and gawk) on the porch, I found art supplies I had ordered already arrived.

As it turns out, the neighbor set his basement on fire; he was up to what sounds like S&M craft hour: burning leather and wax with a blowtorch.
