I had a look, because who am I to argue with manners?

I was pleased. Your choice of lyrics is very apt indeed.

Very good of you to drop in and sit a spell!

Dan was the hardest for me to find lyrics for, but then I remembered I Melt With You by Modern English. They're both so perfectly lovely♥

All these songs are perfect. <3

I get such awkward glee out of matching songs with fictional characters. ♥

I'm not certain Rorschach would have much to do with an eccentric Australian band from the '80s, though.

I love all of them sfm, I saved Ozy and Nite Owl. I love your header, btw!

Thank you ♥
I very much enjoy having Gael's wonderful profile there, as he also serves as a motivator to update my lj more often.

The man is a dream, the other day I stayed in an watched Bad Education, Y Tu Mama Tambien and The Motorcycle Diaries in a row.

Oh, that's the perfect way to spend one's day/evening/life. I'm going to have to marathon Matthew/Billy/Gael films for after I get this impacted molar yanked outta my skull.
[identity profile] lukeyloves.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2009 05:34 am (UTC)
Oh that sounds unpleasant D:

I am having a Romain Duris kick at the moment. Also, I can't find any Goode films anywhere (apart from the internet)
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: It makes no sense[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2009 12:46 pm (UTC)
Oh, it is. I can't express any emotion and it takes effort to be able to chew and not cry from the pain at the same time.

If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't be able to buy Matthew Goode films at all, save for Brideshead Revisited (and bitter Jeremy Irons fans probably burn them all).

I need to screencap My Family and Other Animals for the good of the internet. Matthew's a pretentious jerk in it, but he wears tank tops most of the time and even attempts to sing Greensleeves.
[identity profile] lukeyloves.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2009 03:05 pm (UTC)
You need to do that right away I think.

I watched Al Sur De Granada tonight, thought it's about 90% in Spanish and it didn't have subtitles so I had no clue what was going on for most of it. I have to say it is quite unintentionally funny, especially Matthew's ginger hair and eventual mustache.
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/: Just take away the time[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2009 03:14 pm (UTC)
Was his mustache dyed that strange orangey-blonde, too? He's a fantasitc Ozymandias, the absolute best I could want to see on film, but I'm still amused at the moments in Watchmen where you could see slight shadows if his dark facial hair creeping in.
[identity profile] madamotaku.livejournal.com on April 22nd, 2009 11:20 am (UTC)
Ooh, lovely.

I don't know that Shriekback song, but after reading those lyrics, I totally have to find it now.
http://suspiriorum.livejournal.com/[identity profile] suspiriorum.livejournal.com on April 22nd, 2009 10:47 pm (UTC)
Hopefully this works:
http://www.2shared.com/file/5458133/5cf39d47/01_My_Spine__Is_the_Bassline_.html

I found it originally on limewire. It all sort of comes full circle, as Shriekback are on the Manhunter soundtrack, which is the soundtrack Zack Snyder wanted to replicate for Watchmen.

Very nice! I liked the descriptions of each character in your link at watchdom. Smelly malcontent indeed. =P

Thank you! I see smelly malcontent as a term of endearment (even though I could never get away with telling him that to his face).

I'll complicate it further:
Gael as Silk Spectre, Penelope Cruz as Nite Owl, and Michelle Yeoh as Ozymandias:

I enjoyed the entire cast in Watchmen, but I'd pay to have it re-made with Gael as Silk spectre.

IKR?! The article was written by Dan Kois and Ashley Quigg. Normally, I find Slate hit or miss, this article is so very wonderful.
If Sofia Coppola directed Watchmen, starring Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartman:

I'm working on a couple other things right now, but I MUST every scenario from the article. I'll stay up all night if I have to.

Dammit! I promised and everything!
Baby Rorschach is outraged!

I'd send Dan to go punch Adrian in the jaw for killing you, but they'd just up making out. I could go with him, but I'd end up watching them sex each other and there's no way I'd stop that from happening.

[identity profile] greenpixiehair.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2009 02:41 pm (UTC)

And there's no way I'd want you to. I can only hold a grudge so far, even if you did kill me. It's ADRIAN SEXING DAN. Come on. Forgive and forget! (Because watching that cause your brain to melt, and you forget everything)
