About five people I know online have independently decided to watch them as a double feature, and I don't know why they make so much sense together, but they really, really do. (I would also 100% read a crossover. Roller derby girls would do well in a zombie apocalypse, I think.)
And I know what you mean. I love planning out my own little fantasy film festivals and double-features and stuff. (And I actually live near a town that still has a drive-in, so I am a big fan of the dusk-til-dawn triple feature+cartoon reels plan as well. I'm kind of sad they don't make crap movies specifically to run as B and C movies at the drive-in anymore. I mean, okay, they've been replaced by direct-to-DVD, but it kind of takes the fun out of it when you're not watching them because you paid your money and you're gonna see all the movie.)
